Bio/CV:

Bryan is our graduate student intern from the Masters in Social Welfare program. He was born in Mexico and raised in the East Bay. He earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from UC Berkeley after transferring from Los Medanos Community College. After graduation, he joined Berkeley’s Destination College Advising Corp (DCAC) and the Early Academic Outreach Program (EAOP) as a college advisor. As an advisor, he supported and guided students at Deer Valley High School and worked towards increasing college access for underrepresented, low-income, and first-generation students. Currently, he’s working towards earning a Masters's degree in social welfare and would like his profession to focus on mental health and higher education. In his free time, he likes to listen to music, work out, hike, and spend time with loved ones. Bryan is excited to intern with Berkeley’s Hope Scholars this academic year and looks forward to learning so much from our amazing community.
