At Berkeley Hope Scholars (BHS), we recognize the historical lack of agency that many child welfare-impacted students have experienced. That’s why our mentor program is designed to empower students to set their own mentorship goals and choose the mentor who will best support them in reaching those goals. We pair students with UC Berkeley faculty and staff, as well as outside community members who offer support, guidance, and encouragement throughout a students academic journey.
